Grant Programs
Each year, PERMA provides significant grant funding to assist our members in enhancing safety and risk management practices. The following section outlines the various programs available, including details about funding amounts and estimated schedules. As we work towards innovative risk management initiatives these grant programs are frequently updated to meet the evolving needs of membership.

Work Zone Safety Kit
Work Zone Safety Kit
New work zone equipment packages are offered in Summer to assist members with highway or public works projects. The equipment totals up to $2,500 per application.
Wellness Grant
Wellness Grant
Members receive $400 to enhance their wellness programs through education, screenings, and wellness related equipment for all employees. This grant is offered available throughout the year.
Lexipol Subscription Police & Fire
Lexipol Subscription Police & Fire
Members can apply throughout the year for 30% of discounts on annual subscriptions, supplemental policy and procedure manuals along with implementation services.
Fire Gear Washer & Dryer
Fire Gear Washer & Dryer
Each Fall, fire departments can apply to receive $5,000 to purchase a gear washer or dryer to help reduce exposure to carcinogens.
School Safety Initiative Grant
School Safety Initiative Grant
Offered during the Summer and Fall, Schools can apply for funding up to $10,000 to address specific safety needs identified within their workplaces.
Slip and Fall Prevention Grant
Slip and Fall Prevention Grant
Offered each Summer, for funding up to $5,000 to utilize workplace assessments and solutions to address slip and falls.
Safety Training Grant
Safety Training Grant
Members can apply each Summer to receive up to $3,500 in funding to assist in additional ancillary training to benefit their organization. Online applications should include an outline of the training and the appropriate trainer.

Leading up to our Annual Member Conference, we offer three competitive grants to help members develop or further enhance existing safety initiatives in the workplace.
Bulletproof Vest & Outer Carrier
Bulletproof Vest & Outer Carrier
Available throughout the year, this grant provides law enforcement officers the opportunity to transition to new vest body armor and outer carriers. Each department can receive up to $5,000 worth of equipment.
