Winter weather often presents hazards including slippery surfaces, difficult outdoor working conditions and cold related illnesses. This training will focus on winter weather safety and help identify ways to improve preparedness during a season of unpredictability.
Topics will include:
- Snow removal hazards
- Knowing signs of cold stress
- Cold related injuries and ailments such as trench – foot, hypothermia, frost bite, etc.
- Preventing slips and falls on snow/ice
- Proper winter PPE/Clothing
