Roads and streets have traditionally been built to move cars and trucks quickly, but this approach can be prohibitive for other modes like walking and biking. Complete Streets and Traffic Calming measures can allow many other users – including pedestrians, bicyclists, individuals with disabilities, and others – to utilize public roadways and streets effectively. Dan will cover what a complete street is and isn’t as well as how traffic calming may be able to improve safety, public health, and social and economic development outcomes in your community.
