Snow & Ice Control: Fulton

Presented by our partner, NYS LTAP Center – Local Roads Program

Registration is now open for Fall workshops presented by our partner, NYS LTAP Center – Cornell Local Roads. PERMA will be notifying our regional members on these upcoming events and sponsoring a limited amount of registration fees for the Snow & Ice Control workshops in preparations for winter. Don’t miss out!

October 13 – Fulton County

Participants taking this course will be able to:

  • Identify the elements of an effective snow and ice control program.
  • Design an ice control material treatment plan.
  • Describe how to minimize the risk of snow and ice-related tort liability.
  • Identify which type of anti-icing strategy to use on which type of road.
  • Choose the best ice-control treatment for their roads.
  • Measure a reduction in cost to their municipality’s snow control operation.

Who should attend?
Established highway and public works officials who oversee and manage snow and ice control operations
Crew supervisors may also find this workshop valuable.

  • Anatomy of a Winter Storm 2013

Workshop Details:
Workshops typically run from 8:30am – 3:00pm
A boxed lunch will be provided.
Cancellations: Must be 3 days prior to event.
Attendee Limit: 3 staff per entity (with waitlist for additional participants)
