Legislative Update Webinar: Overview on Work-Related Stress

This webinar will provide an overview of the recent changes to Workers’ Compensation Law, in relation to claims for mental injury premised upon extraordinary work-related stress. Effective January 1, 2025, the recently signed bill S.6635/A.5745 expands mental stress claims to all workers not just emergency workers. It also removes the requirement that work-related stress claims must be caused by something greater than what would be expected for “similarly situated” employees. Our defense counsel will provide an overview on these changes, future implications and expectations.
