Al serves as PERMA’s Deputy Executive Director – External Relations. In this role, he manages relationships with association partners, business associates, PERMA members and regulatory bodies of New York State, as well as oversight of the Marketing and Underwriting and Account Management departments. Mr. Campney has over thirty years of public entity underwriting and marketing experience, all with school, county and municipal programs. He has substantial expertise in evaluating the risks and exposures associated with county self-insurance plans, municipalities, school districts and fire districts.

Additionally, Al also represents PERMA on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Workers’ Compensation Professionals (AMCOMP) and holds their WCP^®  (Workers’ Compensation Professional) designation.
