In 2019, PERMA formed a partnership with Lexipol, the national leading content, policy and training platform provider for public safety agencies. Lexipol offers public safety policies to more than 3,500 agencies in 35 states that are customizable and state-specific, as well as thousands of hours of online learning content and trainings. These policies are developed by industry professionals and public safety attorneys, which are continuously updated to meet changes in laws and best practices. As part of this partnership, PERMA created a grant program to assist members with reducing risk of injuries and to strengthen their current agency policies and procedures by discounting access to Members who are first-time Lexipol policy manual subscribers. This grant provides financial assistance by reimbursing members 30% of their policy manual cost every year (as funds are available and PERMA membership is maintained).
Initially, grant applications were only accepted during a specific time period. However, in order to provide better service and opportunity to members, PERMA has decided to now offer the grant on a continual basis, effective immediately. Applications can be submitted at any time. With this change, PERMA hopes more members will now take advantage of the program. Funds are awarded on a first come/first served basis and will be fulfilled until they are exhausted each budget year beginning June 1 and ending May 31.
By accepting an award, members agree to implement PERMA-designated Lexipol policies (relating to reducing the risk of injuries to officers) within the first year, and authorize Lexipol to share implementation progress with PERMA’s Risk Management department in order to determine future funding eligibility.
Current subscription costs can be viewed here and vary by agency size. For specific pricing information for your agency, contact Lexipol senior account executive Jessica Levenberg at 949-667-5008 or email@example.com.
Lexipol provides all members with an annual 10% discount on their manual subscription, supplemental publication service, and procedures manual, as well as a 15% discount on implementation services.
