PERMA’s Risk Management was highlighted in this month’s, October issue of Waste Management magazine. The article featured the study of re-engineering high-risk job tasks in sanitation through ergonomic wearable technology. This program was launched with a Sanitation member helping determine the high-risk repetitive movements and possible solutions to target these tasks. Results associated with the intervention includes an overall reduction of frequency and severity of claims related to the manual tasks for  sanitation workers alongside the overall reductions of costs or damages.
